Concord is about 45 minutes from our Hayward yard on I-880 and CA-24 through the Caldecott, and we keep a second yard in South San Francisco for anything that starts on the Peninsula. No marketplace, no subcontractor, no 20–40% broker margin stacked on the operator rate. The dispatcher who prices your Pavilion shuttle is the one who assigns the driver that night.
CPUC TCP 0037963 · USDOT 3126263 · commercial auto liability on every coach · certificates of insurance issued same business day.

Distances are road miles from Todos Santos Plaza. Times are typical off-peak, before the I-680 and CA-242 merge fills. Every row below is a job we stage in Concord during a normal season.
| Trip | What it usually looks like | Miles | Drive | Best vehicle |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Concord Pavilion concert shuttlesKirker Pass Rd, Concord Blvd, the Pavilion access road | Remote-lot and BART shuttles on show nights, where the parking exit is the real bottleneck. Sixty-nine seats a lap clears a lot faster than a line of rideshares on Kirker Pass. | 5 | 12 min | 69-pax double-decker |
| Concord BART corporate and campus shuttlesConcord BART, Willow Pass Rd, the Diamond Blvd office corridor | Last-mile loops between the station and offices along Diamond and Willow Pass, on a contract rate with fixed departures and a live tracking link for whoever owns the schedule. | 2–4 | 8 min | 24–35-pax minibus |
| Diablo Valley College group travelGolf Club Rd, Ygnacio Valley Rd, Pleasant Hill | Athletics travel, admitted-student days and department field trips, with a post-event hold built into the quote because campus events rarely finish when the program says they will. | 4 | 10 min | 56-pax coach |
| Six Flags Hurricane Harbor and summer outingsWillow Pass Rd, CA-242, Waterworld Pkwy | Camp days, youth groups and company family days. The driver stays on site with the vehicle so wet towels and a broken flip-flop are not a transportation emergency. | 3 | 10 min | 56-pax coach |
| Todos Santos Plaza festivals and market daysGrant St, Salvio St, Willow Pass Rd, downtown lots | Park-and-ride loops for street fairs and the summer market series, where downtown parking runs out an hour before the crowd peaks and the neighborhood streets stay clear only if buses do the work. | 1–4 | varies | 24–35-pax minibus |
| Oakland International (OAK) group transfersCA-24 through the Caldecott to I-580 and I-980 | Flight-tracked pickups for tour groups, teams and wedding parties. The Caldecott is the variable, so we stage the coach on the Concord side well before the aircraft lands. | 28 | 35 min | 56-pax coach |
| Napa and Sonoma wine country day tripsI-680 north to I-80 and CA-29 or CA-12 | Concord is closer to Napa than most of the Bay Area realizes, which makes a full-day tasting trip a real day out rather than three hours of freeway with a tasting attached. | 35–55 | 45–75 min | 56-pax coach |
| Centre Concord banquets and wedding loopsCentre Concord on Cowell Rd, hotel blocks on Diamond Blvd | Guest runs between the hotel block, the ceremony and the reception, with a last departure after the room clears. One dispatcher stays reachable from load-in to the final drop. | 2–8 | varies | 24–35-pax minibus |

Most sites ranking for "charter bus Concord" do not own a single vehicle. They resell operators like us and add a margin. Here is what changes when you skip that layer.
| Question | Umbrella Global Bus | Booking marketplace |
|---|---|---|
| Who owns the vehicle? | We do. Titled, insured and maintained by Umbrella. | A third-party operator assigned after you pay, often unnamed until day-of. |
| Who is driving? | Our employee, in our DOT drug-and-alcohol program, known to our dispatch. | Whoever the assigned operator sends. |
| What is the price built from? | Our operator rate, itemized: hours, deadhead from South San Francisco, tolls, gratuity. | An operator's rate plus the platform's margin, typically 20–40%. |
| Who answers at 5:40 a.m. when the bus is late? | The dispatcher who assigned the driver, with the coach on GPS. | A call center that has to phone the operator. |
| Certificate of insurance for a venue or employer? | Issued by us, usually same business day. | Requested from the operator through the platform. |
| Can I track the bus? | Yes, a live tracking link for every trip. | Depends on the operator. |
Ranges are published so you can budget before you call. Your quote is itemized to the hour and the mile, and it does not change after booking unless the trip changes.
Driver included. Five-hour minimum, so a half day runs $750–$875. BART loops, downtown festivals, wedding runs and campus trips.
Driver included. Quoted per itinerary on top of the hourly rate because deadhead, tolls and return time change the total.
Standing routes for Concord employers, campuses and venues. Monthly invoicing, PO-based billing and net terms.
Always included: driver, fuel, standard insurance, live tracking. Quoted separately: tolls, parking, driver overnight on multi-day trips, gratuity if you choose to add it.
A half-day (5-hour) 24-35 passenger minibus in Concord typically runs $750–$875 including driver. A 56-passenger motorcoach is quoted per itinerary because the drive out from our Hayward yard, tolls and the return time all move the number. You get an itemized sheet from dispatch, not a marketplace estimate.
Yes, and it is one of the jobs the double-deckers exist for. We work remote lots, hotel blocks and the BART station, with the return staged before the encore so the group is not standing in the exit queue on Kirker Pass with everyone else.
Oakland (OAK, about 28 road miles through the Caldecott) and San Francisco (SFO, about 40 miles). San Jose is possible but usually not worth the miles from here. We track the flight either way and stage the vehicle before the group reaches the curb.
Yes. Fixed loops between the station and offices on Diamond Boulevard, Willow Pass Road or the Concord medical corridor run on a contract rate, with the same drivers each cycle, monthly invoicing and a tracking link your workplace team can watch.
The bus company. Umbrella Global Bus owns nineteen vehicles, employs the drivers, and operates its own dispatch, shop and DOT drug-and-alcohol program under CPUC TCP 0037963 and USDOT 3126263. No subcontractor, no reseller margin.
Yes. All three 69-passenger double-deckers have a wheelchair lift and restroom, and one minibus is lift-equipped. For a Pavilion or Centre Concord event, tell us the number of wheelchair positions and where the accessible drop is so we route the driver correctly.
